An option of spaced-apart location of the control knob and process execution modules makes it possible to avoid electromagnetic interference with sensitive signal circuits of an amplifier with any design of its housing.

The main element used to change the volume level in Diltone regulators is a discrete stepwise switched resistive attenuator - voltage divider.

This attenuator is controlled by means of switch points. In Diltone products this function is performed by contacts of microminuature signal electromagnetic relays with almost unlimited failure-free service life. Because of them the regulator does not influence the sound quality in any way.

They also eliminate the device’s own electromagnetic interferences.
